Strategic Tactical Plan and Order of Battle
I. Purpose
1.1 This document is designed to establish the hierarchy, tactical structure, strategic deployment, and war aims of the fleet of Clan Arcona.
1.2 It can only be modified by the Consul of Clan Arcona.
II. Hierarchy of the Clan Arcona Fleet
2.1 The Fleet of Clan Arcona is commanded by the master of the Clan, the Consul. It is the Consul that makes all final decisions both strategic and tactical concerning the composition, goals, targets, maneuvers, and general well-being of the Arcona Fleet. The Consul is consulted by the individual commanders of each vessel on their decisions. The Consul is the ultimate arbiter of the fleet.
2.2 Typically however, the Consul does not have the time or inclination to directly control the Fleet of Clan Arcona on a day-to-day basis, nor even in times of war. Because of this, the Consul is also empowered with the authority to designate a Sovereign Imperator of the Arcona Fleet. This Imperator is granted full rights over the entire Fleet but can be removed or countermanded by the Consul at any time. Typically, the Imperator is a high ranking member of the Clan with previous Naval experience.
2.3 The Sovereign Imperator is given complete control of the Fleet. He or she acts as the guiding force for all decisions and is generally empowered with all the abilities of the Consul in relation to the fleet. The Imperator commands the fleet from the Modified Strikecruiser, Eye of the Abyss. Let it also be noted that the Sovereign Imperator, while having complete control, does not normally handle to daily operations of the Fleet, but instead takes control only during times of War or large-scale operations.
2.4 The Sovereign Imperator’s executive officer is known as the Tribune. The Tribune is tasked with carrying out tactical maneuvers and commanding the Fleet on a daily basis or in the absence of the Imperator while at war or in battle. The Tribune is a non-force user, coming from a military background and thoroughly tested for loyalty to both the Consul and Clan Arcona.. The Tribune is stationed on whatever vessel the Imperator designates, although this is normally on the Eye of the Abyss.
2.5 Each vessel is commanded by an officer selected by the Imperator and Tribune. They receive the title of “Captain” and are tasked with maintaining order and discipline on their vessel. Additionally, they are charged with commanding their vessels in wartime at the discretion of the Imperator and the Tribune.

IV. Division of Forces
4.1 Currently, the Fleet is divided into two task forces. The fighters are generally not considered a part of any specific task force and are fluid.
4.2 At any given moment, a fighter squadron can be called up and transferred to a different location.
4.2.1 Task Force One – "Vanguard of Arcona"
Consisting of:
Modified Strikecruiser Eye of the Abyss
Carrack Cruiser Wrathraven
Modified Lancer Frigate Medusa
Luxury Yacht Serenity
4.2.2 Task Force Two – "Dajorran Defense"
Consisting of:
Carrack Cruiser Nighthawk
Escort Carrier Maelstrom
Modified Lancer Frigate Bloodfang
Gunship Hellfire
Modified Corvette Mejas Doto
Corvette Torment
V. Distribution of Fighters
5.1 As previously stated, fighters are considered liquid assets and can be transferred anywhere on the whims of the Imperator and the Tribune. Generally, however, the fighters have been allocated to provide for a sound defensive capability.
5.2 Owing to the unique makeup of the Dajorra System, not every planet is defended. Strategic decisions have been made to ensure that important Clan resources are guarded. The fighters have been deployed to hangars in the following locations:
5.2.1 Arconae Primus: 12 Tie Interceptors for Planetary Defense and Training Use
5.2.2 Selen: 15 Tie Interceptors for Planetary Defence
6 Model B E-Wings for Planetary Defense
5.2.3 Eldar: 24 Tie Interceptors for Planetary Defence and House Operations
5.2.4 ESC Maelstrom: 8 TIE V38 Phantoms for General Operations
6 B-51 B-Wings for General Operations
VI. Task Forces: General Tactical Aims
6.1 Task Force One
Task Force One is charged with the defense of Selen and Boral. It is commanded by the Imperator or the Tribune in his absence.
6.1.1 The Eye of The Abyss stays in an orbit between Boral and Selen and serves as a custom’s ship and general guardian of Arcona’s home planet.
6.1.2 The Wrathraven orbits the moon of Boral and serves as the flagship of Oriens Obscurum. It is tasked with an advanced screening role and support of the Eye of the Abyss.
6.1.3 The Medusa patrols the area around the planet of Selen and is tasked with monitoring incoming traffic that the Wrathraven and the Eye of the Abyss cannot monitor due to their positions. The Medusa’s commander generally has a free hand to go anywhere around the planet and do anything he or she thinks is necessary to maintain the security of Arcona’s capital planet. The Medusa also serves as a light combat capital ship in the event of a fleet engagement.
6.1.4 The Serenity is Arcona’s primary diplomatic vessel. It is outfitted as most luxury yachts are and will ferry the Consul or the Consul’s emissary wherever they need to go. Most of the time, it can be found on Selen with the Consul. When it is not being used as a diplomatic vessel, the Clan and House Summits will use it as a ferry between planets. There is more than meets the eye to this small vessel but its specific capabilities are a closely guarded secret that only the Consul, Imperator and Tribune are aware of.
6.2 Task Force Two
Task Force Two is charged with the defense of Dajorra and any other operations that may be specified by the leadership of Arcona. Task Force Two can be located at any point in the Dajorra system at any given time but will oftentimes orbit the planet of Eldar, enabling it to protect the House Bases as well as respond to any trouble spots within the System. Task Force Two is commanded by the Tribune or a selected officer should the Tribune be commanding Task Force One.
6.2.1 The Nighthawk is the flagship of this task force and can travel anywhere that it might be commanded to. From it, the Tribune issues orders to the other vessels and it is often used in battle only as a last resort. The sight of the Nighthawk tends to strengthen the morale of Arconan soldiers.
6.2.2 The Escort Carrier Maelstrom rarely leaves the side of the Nighthawk. It carries roughly a squadron of Tie Phantoms and B-Wings, which are used for special operations. When an operation needs to be carried out, the Nighthawk escorts the Maelstrom to a range where the Escort Carrier can safely launch its fighters. Additionally, the Carrier’s fighters can protect the Nighthawk in the event of an attack. This symbiotic relationship is rarely broken.
6.2.3 The Bloodfang is often sent on random system patrol missions. These include visits to Eldar, Eredoros and and the Asteroid Field at the edge of the System. The Bloodfang serves as one big System Patrol Craft and is on the lookout for potential piracy or smuggling. In the event it comes across something larger, it will usually wait for support before engaging. The Bloodfang can also be “lent” to one of the Houses should they need any extra firepower on their missions
6.2.4 The Hellfire is primarily tasked with patrolling the metal-rich Asteroid Field at the edge of the Dajorra System, an almost permanent guardian of Arcona’s resources there. A House may also request its use in larger-scale operations.
6.2.5 The Mejas Doto is tasked similarly but has a unique purpose. Its small size makes it particularly suited for patrolling the many small moons of Eredoros. During normal fleet operations, it can be found navigating randomly from moon to moon monitoring Arcona mining operations and watching for piracy and smuggling. Like the Bloodfang, it will typically await reinforcements before engaging any large enemies. The Mejas Doto is also assigned to House Galeres and can be used at their discretion without prior permission from the Consul, Imperator or Tribune, but only during times of relative “peace”.
6.2.6 The Torment is an aged vessel that is often with the Nighthawk and the Maelstrom. The Torment’s primary purpose is as the official vessel of Oriens Obscurum, a role it has played since joining the Arcona fleet and acts in the same capacity as the Mejas Doto. However, when not on a mission for the House, it can be found screening any vessels that visit Eldar regularly with various supplies.
VII. Brief Tactical Plans
7.1 Piracy and smuggling will be dealt with by the commanders of individual vessels as they see fit. The default setup for both task forces prepares them to look for and intercept these illegal activities.
7.2 In the event of an invasion by a rival Clan, Task Force Two will move to engage the offending fleet. Additionally, selected fighter squadrons will be deployed. The general strategy in this case depends on the composition of the enemy forces and is at the discretion of the Imperator and the Tribune.
7.3 In the event of an invasion by the New Republic, the Consul, Imperator and Tribune will evaluate the circumstances and determine a response based on the composition and strategy of the enemy fleet. New Republic military tactics cannot be reasonably predicted at this time since the Republic is in a period of unparalleled growth. Assuming that they will act like the former Rebel Alliance is folly. Therefore, flexibility is tantamount to any successful defense of Dajorra.
7.4 In the event of an invasion by the Empire, Imperial Remnant, or Emperor’s Hammer, Task Force One will attempt to hold Boral and Selen for as long as it takes for Task Force Two to disperse. The intended goal is to fool the Imperial Fleet into believing it has won and broken the back of the Arcona Fleet. Once Task Force One has escaped, it will also disperse. In the event of Task Force One being destroyed, the Tribune will assume command of the Fleet.
7.5 Upon completion of the dispersal of the Fleet, a guerrilla war will ensue. The Imperial Fleet is much too powerful to be taken on directly but by weakening its resources and chipping away at its power, it can eventually be driven out. Assuming the superiority of Brotherhood pilots, losses should be minimal if operations are conducted properly. Once the Imperial Fleet is weakened, the Imperator or Tribune will make the determination when a full Fleet Action can be undertaken.
7.6 The necessity of resupply for the Fleet is essential. At a time of invasion by such a large Imperial force, it is likely that other Clans will also have been invaded. Cooperation with other Clans, though not always enjoyable, is necessary in this situation. If Clans can aid one another by helping with supplies, then it is important that they do. However, Arcona should be careful not to rely on outside help so much that it finds itself in a bad position once the Imperials have been expelled. To prevent such reliance, and also because other Clans may not be able to help, several containers have been hidden above the plane of the galaxy with emergency supplies. The coordinates to these containers are known only by the Consul, Proconsul, Imperator and Tribune. The planet Sukhur has also been converted into a “Last Stand” base, complete with the necessary supplies to sustain the entire Clan while continuing to fight a guerilla war.
In any case, all of the aforementioned plans can be changed on the whim of the Consul, Imperator or Tribune.
VIII. Conclusion of the Document

Arcona Military Positions
Although the Force is a powerful tool, it cannot win wars alone. As such, each Clan in the Dark Brotherhood has their own Military Forces with which to use in both offensive and defensive endeavours.
The Arcona military is run primarily by non-force users, allowing the Dark Jedi of Arcona to pursue other interests and avenues of training and not be bogged down by the tedious work of running military groups during peaceful operations. As such, the bulk of official positions within the military is taken by those without any force powers.
Clan Consul
The Consul is the ultimate authority in the Arcona Military, and oversees all Arcona forces.
Sovereign Imperator
The Sovereign Imperator is in charge of the Arcona Fleet in times of war. He/She is chosen from the ranks of dark jedi in Arcona who have shown to be highly proficient in Naval Combat.
Tribune
Second in command of the Arcona Fleet, the Tribune is charged with the day-to-day operations of the entire Fleet and is chosen for their military expertise.
Marshall
The Marshall is in charge of the Arcona Ground Forces in times of war. He/She is chosen from the ranks of dark jedi in Arcona who have shown to be highly proficient in Ground Combat and Strategy.
Legate
Second in command of the Arcona Ground Forces, the Legate is charged with the day-to-day operations of the entire Ground Force and is chosen for their strategic expertise and combat proficiency.
Director
The Director is head of Arcona Intelligence and reports directly to the Clan Summit. He/She oversees all of the information gathering sources in Arcona, as well as carries out any espionage or sabatoge missions as needed.
