Dark Jedi Brotherhood Guidance
Arcona Awards
Galeres Troika
House Galeres is first known for its Fighters, the skill of its Obelisk warriors. It has always been known as a Warrior House; however that is not to say that it is lacking in the other aspects of the brotherhood Ð merely that it specialises in the area of personal, single combat. These three individuals that displayÉsingular skills are chosen by the Quaestor and the Aedile from the ranks of House Galeres and the recipient keeps the title for as long as the Quaestor and Aedile feel he is deserving. There have even been mutterings of a title being given to the participants indefinitely; however, this could just be conjecture.
The First Blade of Galeres
There is always one that stands out in the ranks of Galeres as the first combatant, the vanguard, the harbinger, the First Blade of Galeres. He is a blademaster with his sabre; he has a grasp of single combat that is unparalleled, even by the members of Soulfire Strike Team and is in every way a formidable adversary. Usually, the member has received Royal Guardsman training; however that isnÕt a requisite for the holder of the title.
The Prodigy of Galeres
These are rare, but instantly noticeable, even in the excellence of Galeres. There is always one person that shines through the rank and file with unparalleled drive, ambition and tenacity in pursing the best interests of the House and Clan. It is clear from the outset that this member will do great things for Galeres, and for their own nefarious ends.
The Adjunct of Galeres
This, the third in the Troika of Galeres is probably the most subtle. He is not known for his superior skill with a blade or his level of aggression when pursuing outward goals of the House. Instead, this member is known for his quiet, consistent work behind the scenes, assisting the summit with their administration of the House. He is usually one of the longer-serving members and his experience will far outweigh that of other members.
The Shard of Garrida
Taken from the Garrida Stone during the split, this shard of purest teal carbon (thought to be similar to a diamond in itÕs consistency) is laced with veins of rich green running through the interior of the transparent crystal. The original stone was destroyed during the chaos of the split, and the Shard of Garrida is now all that remains of this one prestigious artefact. The Shard is given to the First Blade of Galeres, and is to be used as a Lightsaber focusing crystal. It gives the blade a rich turquoise/teal colour and makes the sabre blade more resistant to other lightsabres.
The Mantle of Prodigy
A piece of stylised armour, the design originally taken from an ancient Sith WarlordÕs battle armour, the Mantle of prodigy is essentially a set of shoulder protectors with the Galeres symbol carved into the front & back, complete with a lustrous narrow cape coming down the back to the wearerÕs ankles. This mantle protects the wearer from melee attacks such as vibroblades, but is unable to stave off lightsaber blows, and also grants the prodigy access to any of the fighters, shuttles, bombers or gunships in the Arcona fleet.
Galeres Signet Ring
A small silver ring devoid of any adornment save for two indented lines running parallel around the circumference of the ring, it seems to be made of a lightweight medal such as Titanium. Whilst not overtly showy, this piece of hand-wear grants the wearer access to almost everywhere in the Galeres properties and also contains a specifically patterned piece of bio-circuitry that allows the user to access confidential files in the Galerian computers, granting them carte blanche in everywhere but the areas reserved for the Quaestor. With this ring, the Adjunct can better aid his House Summit and the level off access available to the Adjunct is a sign of the level of trust he has been bestowed.
Galeres Merit Awards
House Galeres has always prided itself on its individuality, its unwillingness to follow but its nature to lead. It was the first Obelisk House of the Brotherhood, and as such was something of a trend-setter in the times before the Exodus. As such, the House leadership brought in their own merit award system for their members when they felt a more personal touch was necessary.
Archivist Droid
For some of the Journeymen of Galeres, the ÔtheoryÕ work they are forced to go through is a rigmarole that leaves them little time for their preferred areas of study. An Archivist droid is the answer to this. Given as a low level award to some Journeymen that have excelled in a Feud, Vendetta or DB-wide event, the Archivist droid assists them in their training, helping them research obscure texts, translate ancient Sith tomes and is even useful as a protocol/general servant droid, being able to manage housework and culinary duties.
Kama
A protective garment worn around the back of the waist to protect the wearerÕs legs from shrapnel Ð it is more ceremonial in nature than anything else, and was historically worn by the Thyrsus Sun Guard. This dark grey garment is worn in addition to the standard Galeres armour to protect the wearerÕs upper legs and knees and is awarded for exemplary effort in a vendetta or other competitive event.
Pauldron
A Mark of Rank in Galeres, the Pauldron is worn on the shoulders of the Galeres armour to identify the Galerians that have been given command of a section of the Arcona Military Forces. Dark Blue in colour, it immediately differentiates the Commanders from the rank and file.
Cabal Cronal Awards
Outstanding achievement that typifies the very essence of what Cabal Cronal is all about. This achievement should involve the use of stealth, intelligence gathering, deception, and general overall activity. Only those who are the best of role models will ever receive this particular award.
Scepter of the Unseen Eye
Standing at a height of exactly six feet, the Scepter of the Unseen Eye symbolizes the essence of Cabal Cronal: power through knowledge. The scepter, like that of a king or lord, is crowned at the top with an expensive gem. This gem, a bright Stygium crystal often used in cloaking devices, has been carved with precision into the shape of a human eye. This eye is held in place by a gold claw whose talons wrap around the gem completely, giving the eye the appearance of watching through blinds at its prey. The gold claw then attaches to the sturdy yet light weight metal shaft which features special rubber grips at various places.
Soulfire Awards
Soulfire Strike Team only has one award - one that reflects the Mandalorian origins of a lot of its members. The award is given out for life, and is quite similar to the Corellian Bloodstripes in its ideal.
Jaig Eyes
Originally a Mandalorian award for bravery, the Jaig Eyes are a stylised Jai'galaar eyes painted onto the helmet of Mandalorian warriors' armour. Soulfire mirrored this and gave the Jaig Eyes out to its members who had displayed particular acts of bravery.

Master/Student Guidelines
Introduction
The Brotherhood may look huge and overwhelming to a new member; it may take some time before one learns the ways of the club, and most Journeymen will fade to inactivity very early in their careers because of this. By joining this program as Students, new arrivals will have someone specifically assigned to help them on their first contact with the Brotherhood. The Master, in turn, will have the experience of dealing with younger members, which is essential to those who aspire to a leadership position. Both sides gain substantial benefits from the program in terms of experience and awards. The entire program will be administered by both the Consul of Arcona as well as Arcona’s Clan Envoy. They shall be known as the “Administrators” throughout the document.
Eligibility
Anyone below the rank of DJK may become a Student, and anyone of DJK and above can become a Master. One Student per Master, whenever possible; if the circumstances demand it (not enough people willing to participate) a Master may take up to two Students under his tutelage, if he/she feels that they can manage it. As Arcona is completely Multi Order there are no House or Order restrictions. Joining the program is optional; no one is forced into looking for a Master or being one. New members are to be told of this program right when they join the clan, so they can take advantage of it.
Procedures
Everyone willing to join must contact the Administrators, who will keep the information concerning the pairings and oversee the program as it goes. Everything will be kept in the clan site for easy reference.
To formally become a Master, you must apply to the Administrators stating why you wish to become a Master, and what skills you bring to the role. Those of DJK and above are not automatically assumed to be able to become a Master. As such, each application is taken on a case-by-case basis.
To become a Student, you must also inform the Administrators that you wish a Master. You may request a specific Master from the list available, or one will be provided for you. To ensure the best compatibility, please also include what specific activities you enjoy participating in while in the Dark Brotherhood.
Once the partnership is set it lasts until the Student reaches the rank of Dark Jedi Knight. If there is serious incompatibility between Master and Student, however, the partnership may be dissolved at an earlier time. This should happen only if no other reasonable solution is found.
Activity
The Master is required to give his Student assignments and offer advice. The nature of these assignments will be up to the Master to decide, as long as it’s reasonable and consistent with the Student’s main area of interest (if a Student joined interested in playing Jedi Outcast that should be his main focus, but there’s nothing wrong in assigning some writing tasks and Academy courses as well). The number of assignments should be proportional to the rank of the Student (easier and less tasks at first, more as he progresses). These assignments should correspond also towards the Promotional Guidelines of Arcona, focusing on ways to elevate your Student while continuing to teach them about the Dark Brotherhood
The Student is supposed to do these tasks, as they are aimed to improve his skills and understanding of the Brotherhood. When the Student finishes all the tasks for that rank, the Master will recommend his promotion to the Student’s House summit, making sure the Administrators are also aware of it.
If the Master fails to keep in touch with his Student, doesn’t assign him tasks or assigns tasks completely out of proportion, or seems to be halting his improvement with no reasonable justification, the partnership will be revoked; the Student will be assigned a new Master by the Administrators. If it happens a second time consecutively, the Master will be removed from the program. Likewise, if the Student shows no interest in doing the tasks assigned to him or fails to be in contact with his Master for at least 30 days with no justification, it will also result in the dissolution of the partnership; the Student will be removed from the program. Removal from the program is not permanent, but it lasts for a period of at least one month. After this time, one may decide to join the program again.
Note: Tasks must include competitions that are currently on at the time (Arcona, House or DB-wide) that fit with the Student’s interests. This allows the Student to actively participate with the rest of the Clan, and not be closed off.
Any questions or comments should be directed to the Consul and Clan Envoy, who are overseeing the program.
Leadership Guidelines
Below you shall find descriptions detailing the basic duties for each leadership position in Clan Arcona. This guideline can be used by each house in Arcona and it will be used to monitor and evaluate each leader in Arcona on a consistent basics. Not meeting what is outlined below will be a primary factor in determining whether a leader will be removed from his or her position. Although specific duties are mentioned, all leaders are more than welcome to go beyond what has been described. Leaders shall reap the benefits of both fulfilling their duties and going beyond them. A leader should be committed and driven, wanting and doing what is best for both their House and Arcona. Any questions or comments should be directed to the Consul of Arcona.
BattleTeam Leader:
- Must be rank of Acolyte or higher to apply
- Must keep weekly track of member activities (include in report)
- Must submit weekly reports to the House Summit and post them to the Dark Brotherhood site
- Stay in constant communication with your Team and House Summit
- Any other duties assigned by the House Summit
Along with the above requirements, the main responsibility of the Battleteam leader is to motivate his/her members. Although you may run your own smaller competitions, your primary duty is to ensure all relevant information is passed onto your team and seeing that they participate in House/Clan/DB competitions and be an active part of the house and clan. It is also your duty to “lead by example” and be the most active member of your team.
Aedile:
- Must be the rank of Guardian or higher to apply
- Directly responsible for all members below the rank of Acolyte (in most cases, shall be named House Envoy)
- Assist and/or run House competitions
- Assist in the maintenance of the House website
- Run “silent” AWOL checks (mail member deemed inactive directly; should no response be given, AWOL the respective member)
- Stay in constant communication with your House, Quaestor and the Clan Summit
- Any other duties assigned to you by the Quaestor
- Weekly House Report in the absence of the Quaestor
The job of the Aedile is two-fold. Their first task is to ensure that the newest members of the House are formally greeted and given a detailed mail explaining their House, Clan and how to get through their initial ranks. As such, an Aedile shall normally be named House Envoy with all duties that entails. Secondly, an Aedile is the right-hand of the Quaestor, and as such, is expected to assist in any and all projects that are related to their House. Should the Quaestor be on leave or the position empty, the Aedile shall assume these duties during the short-term.
Quaestor:
- Must be the rank of Jedi Hunter or higher to apply
- Must keep activity records of their members (to be taken from Battleteam Reports) and either post amalgamated records in their weekly report, or send to the Consul directly on a consistent basis
- Must submit a Weekly Report to their House and the Clan Summit; Report must be posted on the Dark Brotherhood site
- Ensure that members of their house are rewarded in a fashion consistent with their activity (Promotions and/or medals equalling their activity)
- Run competition on a consistent basis, that relates to the “platforms” your House members may participate in
- Maintain an updated House website
- Track the activities of your Aedile and Team Leaders, ensuring that they are meeting their positional guidelines
- Stay in constant communication with your House as well as the Clan Summit
- Any other duties assigned to you by the Consul or Proconsul
A Quaestor’s job is intensive, overseeing the entirety of the House and making sure that each individual part is running smoothly. The Quaestor is perhaps the most important position in any Clan, able to make or break a House no matter the external influence. As such, all Arcona Quaestor’s must never falter in their activity levels, motivating both themselves and the rest of their House to achieve the greater goals. Due to the structure of the Dark Brotherhood, a Quaestor should have knowledge of all of the platforms used, or have the initiative to learn. They must also know how and when to delegate work. Although ultimately responsible for the well being and activity of the House, a Quaestor also has an Aedile with whom he/she can utilize to assist in various duties. An Aedile however should never be doing the bulk of House-related work. They are there to assist, not take over.
